Mrs. Jessica Hollister
Anatomy Teacher
Mrs. Hollister is a native of Livingston County, where she grew up in Brighton, Michigan and graduated from Brighton High School. While there, and being the daughter of a Pediatric Nurse and a Dearborn Firefighter, she had little doubt what she wanted to pursue as a career. After high school, Mrs. Hollister attended Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nursing and becoming a Registered Nurse. She accomplished both with flying colors in 2010.
Since this accomplishment, Mrs. Hollister has worked in a number of different hospitals, notably in the Emergency Department (ED) at each one. In emergency medicine, success demands teamwork, immediate and accurate knowledge recall, coupled with the critical thinking skills to connect all of the dots to each patient with their unique medical needs. She loves the fast pace of the ED and all of the variables making each shift she works something new. In her career of over 16 years she has advanced in capabilities and title. She recently was promoted to a Charge Nurse taking on new responsibilities and challenges. In 2026 she was honored as Nurse of the Year for Trinity Health Livingston Hospital.
Mrs. Hollister married her high school sweetheart, our very own Jeff Hollister, in 2010. The Hollister’s have four children, two dogs, and a flock of chickens. Mrs. Hollister is a committed follower of Christ and is intentional about deepening this relationship. She has previously co-led the children’s ministry at her local church overseeing volunteers, choosing curriculum, teaching, and planning ministry activities.
She is passionate about combining accurate biblical truth and everyday life where true learning takes place. She remains committed to a biblical worldview which guides her life in every way. She is a problem solver and loves people. Taken together, Mrs. Hollister brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and stories to make her well suited to help our students navigate the intricacies of the human body, one of God’s greatest aspects of creation, of which, on the sixth day of creation, after creating mankind, He said, “It is very good.” (Genesis 1:31)
